I'm trying to mount my Viper Vortex HS 2.5-10 X44 SFP scope to a Tikka T3 light. The Tikka comes with 1" aluminum rings and the Vortex has a 30mm tube. Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as rings are concerned?  I'm trying to mount the scope as close as possible to the receiver. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Those rings are terrible, throw them away. I like Talley lightweight rings and they make great stuff for Tikka, mount low.

Talleys are very nice and priced right. Low should be fine.
That thing on the left....my old ride, some days I miss her.

Thanks guys! I assumed I'd have to get a medium or high mount with a 44 objective. Good to know i can get a low.  I can't see any tikka rings on their site though, only on amazon. What models would you recommend? The only ones I can see for 30mm Tikka are high or extra low?

I have a Tikka T3 Lite in .204 and had looked at the Talley and didn't like it. I went with the DNZ Game Reaper mount which is similar looking but all the edges are rounded instead of being squared off like the Talley. I have a 1" tube Sightron on mine but DNZ also makes them in 30mm and 34mm. Here's SWFA's link, good luck.
