I've got a Tikka T3 Varmint in .308, and i'm thinking about topping it with an IOR scope. So here's the dilemma: IOR scope has a 35mm tube, so rings are hard to come by unless they are from IOR. But the Tikka scope rail is obviously not compatible, so a new base is required.

I have seen the Burris tactical base for the Tikkas, which looks like an option, but is there anything else out there? If not, will the Burris be up to the task? Durable and tough enough?

That Tikka is a nice looking rifle. Smooth "like butta" Sako action too, huh?

Burris Tactical bases are good to go and well liked.

cool, thanks for the info didn't know much about the burris bases. and yeah, its a pretty sweet rifle. "smooth" is an understatement, and though i'm pretty decent with a rifle its better than i am so far. so i'm pretty happy, just need to get some good glass on it and see how far i can make a 308 go...
