I have that gun.  I use 140g Sierra Gamekings WinLR primer Lapua Brass and 46.5g Reloder22.  I have not put these through the crony yet.  This is a very accurate load for my gun.  Also, I recommend using Lapua or Norma brass.  American brass is not made to the correct specs.

you have to be the only person i know who thinks that sierra game kings are too tough, i find that hard to believe. thats like saying a ballistic tip wont open up, unless your shooting something a long assed ways out there the sierra bullets open up fast on anything inside of 400yds very well.

hmm thats odd, usually people say the sierras open up to fast, ive used sierra bullets for 20years and never had a lick of trouble with them.

did the two deer die???

so the deer died, both with a single shot. so my question to you is where in the deers deaths did the bullets fail?? dead is dead isnt it?

i hate to see somebody give up on something if it works and is very accurate in the rifles they use. dont mean to sound like im picking on you or anything.

dead is dead but i don't want to track them through 200 yds that you can't hardly walk through some places i hunt is very thick i used to shot all deer in the neck except wall hangers when i started using gamekings i was shoting a cz full stock shot good groups but i got the stock wet and shot 8in high i thought the scope moved so i rezeroed missed the next deer shot it at a target it shot 8in low the only thing i can think is the stock swelled pushed the barrel then dried i lost confidence in that gun and started making behine the shouder shots i should not have that problem with this tikka i am ordering some gamekings a start shoting them in the neck again

i know what your saying, the forest's up here can get pretty nasty too. ive only shot two deer in the neck, i generally aim for a heart/lung shot. they have all died inside of 100yds from the shot no matter what gun i used.
