Just wondering what those that have the SS 3-15x42, how do you like them and does the 24oz weight feel heavy or not? Thanks.

SS scopes are built for combat you dont want something too light you want something that will take abuse and these will.

I used the SS 3-15x42 in the 2013 Sniper Adventure Challenge this year.  Here is a quick write-up:

Never felt the 3-15 was to heavy but also never thought it was light either.

Well, I have one on the way - suppose to be here Wednesday. I'll see how this baby stacks up to my other optics.

I think you will find it quite good.  If I can ever get my CZ700 to function properly, a big IF at this point, I'm considering the 3-15 for it.  Should make a very good combination, IF...

Mine seems kinda light( my "other" scope is the 5-20SS). Which works out well, as it is on my "lighter" rifle.

Well, I compared my SS 3-15x42 against my sweetheart, a  Sightron II Big Sky and my little gem, a Swarovski 3-9x36. That damn SS 3-15x42 was brighter and clearer than both of them!  I think this one is going to work out just fine.

I decided to do a best 2 out of 3 comparison against my pet Swarovski again and now I can see why the SS looked better - it cheated!  When viewing the eye chart on a 24" x 18" white board at 100 yards, the SS at 9x had a larger overall target size than the Swarovski at 9x. I know the Swarovski is dead nut at 100 yards since I've verified it's 8.3" subtension measurement. The SS at 9x must be closer to 10x or so. Thunbs Up

With the Swarovski at 9x, I could read the top 4 lines of the eye chart at 100 yards. Not sure what the actual power was for the SS at 9x but I could easily read the top 5 lines . . .

Scope powers are seldom dead on, it's no big deal till you get a "1X" that isn't 1X. So long as they get the reticle subtensions right, the power is a means to an end.
So far I like my SS 3-15, will have it on the range sometime this week.
