Looking at a 3.5-14X42 Leica ER. Which reticle besides the #1 is the thickest? They all seem to run thin for my taste. I saw an IBS a member here posted that looked good but it was at 1500 yards and I couldn't really tell. I think the #4 center is twice as thick as the regular plex. I would love some reticle shots if you have any. Thanks Randy |

They are all pretty thin but the IBS is slightly thicker than their plex or 4A reticle. I'll see if I can get a picture of my IBS reticle, but can't give you much of a reference on the other ones.

The #4 fine crosshair is 50% larger than the plex. I have a PDF file with the Leica ER dimensions which Mark Feldman on this forum kindly sent me. If you PM me your email address, I'll send the file to you. |

That should've read a Leica factory PDF file with all of the Leica ER reticle dimensions. Some of them are different to what their advertising shows. |

The 4A is thicker than the plex. I could be mistaken, but I thought the IBS and 4A were the same thickness. |

If you google, there's a pdf floating around out there that gives the subtensions of the Leica reticles.
I found it while I was trying to compare a Leica 4a to the Swaro #4 and 4a reticles. I really like the Leica 4a and for my hunting needs (low light, day light quick shooting) it works great. I have to admit, I do like the Swaro #4 better. |

They are the cross-hair sub-tensions according the Leica PDF. For some reason it show in the above post. |

"didn't show". For some reason I can't edit my posts. Could anyone tell me why that is? Thanks.

Ted, Could very well be. My calibrated eyeball isn't what it used to be and it appears the IBS is slightly thicker, but I'm just going off a website that has the reticles side by side. |

So true. According to the subtension document Maverick2 sent me, the IBS reticle cross hair subtension is .1 at its narrowest point, compared to 0.14 for the Plex and CDD reticle and 0.2 for the 4A (if I'm reading it correctly).
