Need input from anyone with experience with Thermal scopes. Is it indicative that something is wrong with a scope for lines to be jumping across the screen like this?

This is a brand new scope which I received today. It did this from the first time I mounted it and dry fired.

The first video is from dry firing (AR15) and the second is from chambering a dummy round. I'd think it would be worse if I actually fired the gun but I'm not voiding the warranty by testing that.

Thanks for any help!
