Well, at least mine is still living.

Here's 20 rounds of .308 in the 10-ring at 600 yards.

http://floridashootersnetwork.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=1162 9

When I first got this rifle/scope, I came here to learn about the Springfield 8.5-20x56.  I was chagrined to learn that they were so cheaply made that most of them fell apart, so Springfield discontinued them.  But one member gave me a ray of hope when he said that if it holds together for  200-300 rounds, then it might be a good one.

Well, I'm approaching 2,000 rounds with it.  I absolutely love it  to death.  Everything about it just seems like it's perfectly designed. It's just so easy to sight in, adjust for windage while in position, and the reticle just seems to beg for the little x in the middle of the x-ring.   I have many hours of carefully putting 175-grain Sierra match bullets on long-range trips, and really enjoying it.

When I came back to this site, I found a very old private message about me selling the scope.  No way!  In fact, anyone have some they want to sell?

I'm going in to 1,000 yard shooting with my two DPMS AR-10's, and I want to find a suitable 25x50 or  preferably 25x56 scope.  I'm just  not hopeful about finding one I'll like as much as this one.

Any comments or assistance?

Wasn't that ME that told you that??

Glad you got a good one, my friend. Others were not so lucky.

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

Okay, how would this Zeiss be on my second AR-10 for 1,000 yards?

Is it worth the twenty-two hunnert bucks?  It would be my best scope, and I imagine it would last me the rest of  my life.

What bugs me is all the stuff they put in for a reticle.  I would like two nice clean, very thin crosshairs.  That's all I need.  This is the cleanest I've noticed.

zeiss has been sitting on their reticles for umpteen years, the new Z varmit and 1000 yd are a considerable improvement can't wait to try one.  you might like nightforces crosshairs better check out their web.

as far as the zeiss being worth the money-- it's up to the person--

I haven't been able to find a picture of the Z varmint or 1000 yd reticles.  I'll look some more.  I want the cleanest thing I can get.

WOW!, Dale...  I wish I knew how to post like that!

What's the chance you could post a picture like that of the 1,000 yard, and the number 43.

The 43 is what I think I want, unless there's something better about the 1K.
