Gators are gonna be a .500 team this year, given their brutal schedule.

More on the Gators later!

LOL Mark. Imagine staring at that dreadful color all season... and that damn Rocky Top is about as bad as the Crininole war chant!

BTW, did you ever see the video Ted took of me doing the Gator chomp in front of the NRG center at the Sportsman show last week? Go Gators!

Yeah I'm afraid this will be a tough year for the Gators ... hopefully not as bad as last year's embarrassing fiasco though. The Chimp may be gone unless measurable progress is achieved.

Where's the video, Ric? I didn't see it.

On Muschamp....

He must do the following to keep his job going in to next year, in order of importance.

1) Orange ya gonna beat em?
The Gators have beaten The Vols for SEVEN straight years and the last five by double digits. As dismal as last years season was for the Gators, they beat Tenn, which in my mind, probably was the only thing that saved Will's job.
Losing to The Vols this year is much more than just a SEC East loss. It breathes life into new Tenn coach Butch Jones program and removes the Gator spell that has plagued The Vols for a long time. As I mentioned, I'm working now in Knoxville and on UT's campus. The ONLY....I mean ONLY thing the fans are talking about...is beating Florida! Getting this monkey off their backs is a real mile stone for The Vols and if done, Tenn will be another SEC East Achilles heel for The Gators for the next few years, like Ga has become. This might just be their year to break the streak and kill Will's coaching contract.

2) Speaking of The Dawgs....
The Gators have managed to secure their own 3 game losing streak to The Georgia Bulldogs. This is a HUGE game for Muschamp to win against his alma mater. Ga is in a transition period this year after losing Arron Murray to the NFL. This too is a MUST win for The Gators.

3) Feelin Cocky??
The Gators have an up and down record against The Old Ball Coach. A much needed win at The Swamp this year against South Carolina would be gravy.
Strangely, I'm not sure this is a "must win" for Will to keep his job. IF...he beats Tenn on the road, beats The Dawgs, and loses a close one to SC, I think he remains at Florida. Like Ga, SC has a changing of the guard at the QB position too, with Shaw leaving.

4) Beat the cream puffs!!
Florida has a pretty soft schedule the first 3 games with Idaho, E Michigan, and Kentucky at home. Also have Eastern KY at home later and Vandy on the road. Losing to one or more of these teams puts another nail in Will's coffin. No more Georgia Southern's...PLEEEZE! Cencored

Regain dominance in the SEC East. Simple as that. Nobody REALLY thinks they will beat Bammers or Free Shoes U on the road. At least I don't. LSU at The Swamp?? Hmmm.....Wink

I think the key for The Gators is at the QB position. Jeff D has the "potential" to be a GREAT college football quarter back. Kurt Roper, the new OC, has a more run and gun style offence installed and maybe Jeff can use it to win. I hope so.....

Mark, Ted took the video and sent it to you... I thought.

The schedule is a killer, but I'm confident we will be much better than last year's debacle. I do agree, beat Tenn and UGA and the chimp has a chance. How sweet would it be to knock off the crininoles!! Time will tell. If they stay remotely healthy, we may be ok... if not, another disaster will ensue. Should be interesting.

And were off......

Tonight features the mighty Texas A&M Aggies going to Columbia to take on The 'Ol Ball Coach and the Carolina Gamecocks.

Hopefully our fellow member and Aggie alum, Rifledude will chime in and give us his thoughts on tonight's match up.

As I stated earlier, SC is ranked a bit high at number 9, IMO. Tonight will be a good test for both teams, after losing so much talent to last years NFL draft.

I'm kind of looking toward the UCF / Penn State game played in Ireland. It will be on at 8 am Sat. Waiting to see if UCF's great year last year was real or a fluke. They did loose a good QB in Bortles though.

Mark, I think this will be a tough game for us. Despite losing some legendary talent in JF, Mike Evans, and Jake Matthews, I actually think we will still have a great offense. Both our quarterbacks, Kenny Hill and Kyle Allen were 5 star recruits. Hill has college experience already, playing mop up role for JF last year. We are very deep with talent at WR and RB. Look out for "Speedy" Noil and Ricky Seals-Jones.

I don't know what to think about our D this year. We got some promising recruits, but the D is still young and inexperienced overall. Since they can't get much worse than last yr, I predict an improved unit this yr. D Everitt will still be an impact player, and his leadership will be needed. Look out for new DE recruit Myles Garrett, a blue chip player among blue chip recruits! He is a BEAST!

I love it! I don't believe we've ever been this STACKED at WR! Amazing collection of talent! The OL is still dominant, with yet ANOTHER Matthews family member anchoring the line!

And, keep an eye on Kenny Hill! He's no JF, but he played like a poised veteran, with 44 completions and racked up 511 of their 680 total offensive yards! Overall, despite the loss of JF, Jake Matthews, and Mike Evans to the NFL, I can't say I've ever seen an A&M offense this dominant in an opening game...ever!

Defense is greatly improved from last year, which isn't surprising, since they only had one direction to go from last year. Our secondary is still our weakness, but they're still much improved! Keep an eye on freshman DE Myles Garrett. He's a STUD!

Congrats Ted, A&M put a major spank on Carolina. I'll bet the old HBC was none too happy afterwards. It was a pleasure to see some real football ... after what my Gators did last year.

Hahaha.....I was just talking to someone the other day about Spurrier being kinder and gentler, since his Florida, visor and clip board throwing rampages.

Great win, Ted. Can't wait for tomorrow!!!

Wow, we got one play in! Showers for Showers! UGA looked good as did Auburn. Wasn't impressed with Lame Kitten's debut.

I thought the same, Ric. Bama looked average on both sides of the ball. Wow...what a performance by Mr. Gurley!!
