I mean yeah it looks cool but is it a good long range Deer scope. It appears it would be good for low light. What all can you use it for? Im also looking at the -

It would be a good hunting scope if you don't mind the parallax adjustments. Most people that use scopes for hunting generally avoid anything adjustable parallax.

Also the adjustment range is fairly limited at only 50 moa total. So extreme range shooting is not what it was designed for. It can do the job if mounted with a very good 20+ moa base though. As long as you won't be shooting at shorter ranges (anything under about 150 yards) This is unless you intend to use all available dots in the reticle and zero at 200 yards.

All of this is moot if for hunting though. Long range deer hunting is something we generally try not to discuss, as the ethics drive several people crazy. I don't shoot at any animal at extended ranges. So with a 200 yard zero. Using this scope for that purpose on game animals in the ethical ranges for most calibers is acceptable, and the low light capabilities make it a good option in that regard.

The 5-20x50 Trijicon scope is Trijicons first attempt at a scope with tactical knobs. Their though on this scope is that it is designed for Police tactical  where distance is almost never over 200 yds and typically 60 to 80 yds.  The scope has very nice glass very nice clicks the knobs are a nice height not too tall like some other companies.  The really limiting factor is the 50 moa of internal adjustment -  half of that above and half below in an ideal world but each rifle is different.  A plus 20 moa base is probably a good idea and a plus 30 moa base is too much.  Trijicons make nice hunting scopes and their 2.5-10x56 is a very nice hunting scope and one that is brighter than most due to even having  a 5.6mm exit eye pupil at its maximum power 10x.  I tend to think that the 5-20x50 would be a really nice scope for an AR-15  as a coyote gun.  Mild recoil allowing you to stay on the moving target and the Bindon Aiming concept of the post style reticles to draw the eye onto target.  5x is certainly a useable power for hunting and 20 X could be fun at the range or to examine game at a distance. The .223 caliber is about suited to a scope with only 50 moa of internal adjustment.  If you zeroed at 200 and had about 25 inches up that would get you to about 400 yds before you ran out of ability to dial in correction.  So the scope is probably best though of as a 0 to 400 yd scope if a flat base is used.  With the mil dot versions one could compensate using the dots for hold over also.

Thanks Urimaginaryfrnd!!
You are always very helpful and I appreciate it!!!
Im going to seriously consider this scope for my New Bushmaster Predator.. I just wish the 5x20x50 was not so heavy, then again heavy AR's is what the match guys shoot. Im not a match guy by any means but my son is and he put weights in his AR..But Im not tough like he is either, LOL!
Thanks You also Cyborg
