Good piece about the absolute disaster of ethanol production.

http://reason.com/archives/2014/05/06/the-ethanol-disaster

...not to mention the fact it requires more energy to convert the corn to ethanol than the energy the ethanol yields, making it not economically viable to produce without government subsidy.

Another consequence of stupid, leftist junk science and politics taking priority over logic and reason.

Recently I heard a "report" that it takes 137 gallons of water to produce a ....tortilla!

Bob Schieffer will probably have a heart attack.

Sure makes you feel better when your paying $3.20 a gallon for E-85 when regular is $3.90 a gallon, even if it works out to be about the same cost per mile. But at least you FEEL better, and that's what it's all about. Keeping the masses stupid but feeling good.

Your lucky if you get that good of mileage with E85. The people I know who have tried it get between 50 and 70% of what they get with pure unleaded.

Ethanol the fleecing of America.
