This was my 1st purchase from SWFA and it won't be my last.  I'll be telling all my buddies about this place.  I bought a Bushnell 4200 3-9X40...great price & fast shipping.  Thanks SWFA!  Now I just need to find something to mount it too.   Sharp Shooter

Great thing is they cure baldness too along with a whole bunch of other aliments.  Congrats on the purchase.  Post a pic when you get it mounted.

I'll try that. I use butter and sugar. 25 second in the microwave and they melt in your mouth. Honestly there so good you will taste them for a day or so. yummiee.

Well, I've also just placed my first order. And the jury is definitely still out...

The item, which I ordered on 3-10-10, was and still is back-ordered. I could have gotten it somewhere else, where they appear to have gotten the item in twice (by that I mean it was on b/o, it came in, sold out again, came in and is still in stock). So, the other place has gotten their stock in twice and SWFA appears to have not gotten it in once?

But now, I must be fair, SWFA did honor the $30 off coupon code I'd of gotten, but until it comes in and I get the scope I ordered, I'm not saving anything???

But, since I placed my order, I noticed they, SWFA finally got the correct picture for the item as well as raised the price, by $50 bucks from what it was when I ordered it and $60 bucks more then what I'm now going to pay for it, whenever it comes in.

So, for me, where the jury is still out is, is $60 bucks off too much off or too close to what they might have to pay themselves? I have to hope even if it is, they'll still honor both my order and the price I'll pay and the item not be on "backorder" forever or until I get fed up and cancel the order? Because though I could still get it somewhere else, I can no longer get the $30 bucks off.

Like I said, this is my first ever order with SWFA. So I have no clue and I'm in no way insinuating they'll intentionally do something. But let's face it, when an item goes up in cost, no, NO company wants to sell it for what they pay or get it for and take a loss; especially in this day and age?

So I have to hope the item won't be on "backorder endlessly just so I'll or that I'll get tired of waiting?

One reason I'm concerned, you;d think they could call and find out when their order is suppose to ship so when a customer asks they can give then some sort of answer? Because the few times I've called and asked I've been told they can't, or it'll come in when it comes in or, it should be in soon...

Again, not saying this will happen. Just writing that I hope it doesn't. I'm hoping my first experience with SWFA will be as good as yours is all. And now I also have to hope that that I'm posting this, that it won't affect anything either?

They are at the mercy of their suppliers. when they get it in they ship it out and honor their word.  SWFA is the most standup company in the optics business IMO.  Give them a call and they can check the status it can't hurt.

I've called like 5 times since I place my order. I don;t want to make a pest of myself.

FWIW, I've worked in the business of ordering and warehousing supplies. The comepany I worked for, when we ordered inventory items, most of the time when an item we ordered was backordered didn;t come in we got an estimated expect date. Or, we could call and ask them when we might be getting whatever it is we ordered. And yes, I know there are also those items you can't find out when.

But usually when it comes to big ticket items, or high dollar orders, you can find something out, if you call??? Especially if you have customers waiting...

But like I said, this is my first ever order with them as well and I have to hope getting and keeping a new customer is more important then saving a few bucks this one time?

And I'm not saying this is what's going to or will happen, just posting saying I hope it won't...

We all appreciate your situation. I am also sure SWFA appreciates your business. I do have to warn you however about the rules for posting concerning the use of this forum to address customer service issues.
 

1.  Keep it clean.  If you have to ask your self whether or not it's clean.........don't post it.  This includes images too, no blood, guts, nudity, etc.  Only respectful "Hero Shots" of harvested game can be posted.  Pictures of bloody game, game hanging or game in the bed of pick-up truck are not respectable.

2.  No personal attacks.  If you think someone is an idiot, (chances are) everyone else does too.  No need to post it.

3.  Do not advertise our competition.  We work hard to gain the respect and support of our customers.  We also offer a 110% Low Price Guarantee.

4.  No religious discussions or politics unless it relates to guns, optics, and or shooting.

5.  PM stands for Private Message.  Do not publicly share PM's without the consent of the sender.

6.  The Optics Talk forum is not to be used as a customer service tool for SWFA customers.  Tracking numbers, Order Status, Credit Card issues, etc. need to be directed to our Customer Service Professionals at 972-617-7056 from 8 a.m -5 p.m CDT or via e-mail at swfa@swfa.com.
 
7.  For Sale ads are to be placed in Member's Trading Post area only.  Read the For Sale Rules prior to selling.

And FWIW, I wasn't trying call out or second guess your customer service or to bring anything out here in the forum. I was just trying to express my concern (because this is my first ever order with you guys) and looking for reassurance from others that have bought from SWFA.

Had I wanted to do anything else I wouldn't have posted it here...
