Thought this might be of interest to some of you...
I have no affiliation with the company...

Just got this in, the new Texas Boars Terminator Green/Red LED Weapon mounted light
Designed primarily for night time hog hunting which is legal in Texas by Kevin Ryers of TexasBoars.com

It's on my 5.56 with a ADM mount and a Trijicon TR21 Amber triangle 3-9 scope.

the scope and mount will get camopainted to match the new 6.8 upper I have coming in from AR15Performance.com

Up close shot of Terminator light, note that it has a weaver rail on the bottom of it, you simply mount the supplied ring on your scope up side down and then attach on/off via the thumb screw, very clean and simple.  (to use on a stand, simply use a 1" piece of PVC instead of the scope and affix to your stand)

ooh.. green and red LEDs (also works as a bloodlight)

close shot from right left side

Battery attched to right side of stock

Right side of gun:

Front view:

Side view with momentary on/off switch (if you want to make it on all the time just use the supplied velcro strap over the switch (tried it))

view from the optical testing platform I built for the kids in the back corner of our yard

Deer are usually out around 100-125 yards, that's the corrider they seem to travel, had no problem seeing them with the scope last night and it was very overcast and dark, completely invisible with the naked eye.  will try to get some night time pics (note the bolt is out of the gun for testing)

My only word of caution is 5.56 is a small bullet, and pigs get really pissed off when you shoot them.

When in doubt, empty the magazine!

Yea, did miss that, sorry.

Let me know how it goes.  I too have a 6.8 upper in the works for hogs, am interested in your experiences.

A side note: has anyone made a proper review of the new Trijicon accupoint series?  So far I have not seen anything solid on the web.

The 5.5-20 or Accupoints in general?

Ccoker, if you have a 6.8 in need of selling, I am in need of buying!

I don't any longer
I started with a Rock River upper then learned it was not optimal for getting the most of of my handloads and got a medium contoured 18" stainless barreled upper from AR15Performance
loved it, but wanted a bit lighter setup with the same chambering and rate of twist
sold it within a few hours.. should have asked for me

in about a week I should be getting my new upper, a MK68 Rekon 16" from AR15performance
matchgrade lothar barrel, handlapped and chromed, DMR chamber, 1 /11 twist with a Troy Extreme handguard

they are getting 3200 FPS out of the 16" barrel with RE7 and the 85g Barnes
punching clean through big hogs at any angle

can't wait to get out and do some hog hunting
probably go in a few weeks with Randy from Nighthogs.com
they do NV/suppressed hog hunts just south of Seguin

it would be very cool to use their gear but I have a thing about wanting to use my stuff
