Long time reader, first time poster......

In short form, sold my loopy vx-L last year for some emergency vehicle repairs. Financial times are getting better, but still being conservative. So as the penny jar fills up for something better, I need a budget scope for my Ruger m77 in 7mm wsm. $150 is where I need to be, as the scope will just get moved to a 10/22 next year. Open field shooting for deer, 50-300yds, could further this distance a little as the gun shoots very well, but dont expect to shoot any further. Low light brightness and the scope needs to handle the recoil. The recoil isnt bad, more than bite, but it is a concern. Been looking at Bushnell Banner, Muellers, Konus, and a host of others in the 4-12,16x40,50mm range. Wish I could just spend $600-800 now, but I just gotta be patient. Thanks, John.

I would recommend this for you

http://swfa.com/Burris-3-9x40-Fullfield-II-Rifle-Scope-P187.aspx

Unless SWFA still has any bushnell elite's 3200 3-9x40 left hiding around.  You would have to call them and see, but I doubt they would.

+1 on the Vortex. Keep an eye on the Sample List...maybe something there will suit your needs. Good luck. BTW, welcome to the OT Forums!  Excellent
