I know it is no longer in productionWink

I've search for reviews on it, and there seems to be so little information out there.
If you or a friend had one, or if you know a link to a review, I'd be interested.

Was the U.S. Optics fixed 17x a good design? Was it popular? How did it handle mirage?

Thanks!

Never seen one, but I do shoot allot in hot environments, and mirage is something you cannot optically "fix", at 17X.

In very (VERY!) few circumstances would I recommend a fixed 17X, regardless of maker.

Anyting from U.S.Optics is a quality scope with good glass and reliable mechanicals.  Specifics I cant give you on this one I have never even seen the fixed 17x however I do have a fixed 16x in another brand and for a daylight target optic it is a good scope then as the sun goes down it suffers but not nearly as bad as the fixed 20x I used to have.  Personally if I was buying a USO I would buy the 1.8-10 or at least one of the variables because that is a lot of money and for a tad more you can be into one of the variables.  It all goes back to the basic question - what do you want to do with the rifle?

The 3.2-17 is a good scope.  And the EREK elevation is the best thing going.

I've owned a few US Optics, they do make good stuff, and they have great service.
