I finally got to sight in my new Thompson Center Venture yesterday morning.  I don't have any picture of the rifle yet, will get some for you guys later.  I mounted a Vortex Viper 2-7 on it using low Talley one-piece rings.  I sighted it in using some 150 grain Federal soft points that I had and was really impressed with the rifle.  Once I got it sighted in and finished helping my Dad sight his in (bought him a matching one for Christmas) I decided to try a three shot group at 100 yards.  The target below shows the group, which for me was good.  I pulled the last shot, but I think I found my new favorite rifle.

Update:  This past Saturday my Dad and I took our T/C Ventures out to Bedford County, TN to scout out a new area to hunt for next season and if lucky, maybe get another doe for the freezer since TN's season didn't close till the 9th.  Within the first 5 minutes of walking into the property I saw 4 deer, as they were running away.  Dad and spread out about 150 yards apart and starting walking a portion of the property, mainly hardwoods.  After about 15 minutes I had seen three more deer and a coyote.  We were coming to the end of the hardwoods and up ahead was an area that had been clear cut that mainly contained small pines and other scrub.  As I stopped to look, I spotted two big does coming out of the thick stuff about 75 yards away.  I leaned up against a tree to get a little support and shot the biggest of the two does.  She ran about 25 yards and fell over, so now I have my first TN deer and the first kill with my T/C Venture.  She dressed out at 120 lbs, so she big and fat.
