Is this a Encore with a 15" barrel chambered in 243 Win.?
What kind of distances do you intend to use with it?
I like a Weaver style/picatinny base and Burris Signature Zee rings.

This is the one I got for my Contender.
I use it on multiple barrels with Leupold Quick release rings and Weaver bases.

This entire setup works great, scope is top notch. You probably wont use the higher magnification while your shooting, buts its useful for spotting hits on your targets. Make you up a laminated card and keep track of where to zero your scope for each barrel.

bluesmoke what Ernie Bishop is asking you about how far you intend to shoot gives us more of an idea what to suggest than anything else. How you use a hunting type pistol determines which scope is right for it. I have two Encore Pistols one a 45-70 with a 1x Burris the other a 44 mag with a 2x Burris.  I like these because in Iowa I am only allowed straight case cartridges to hunt deer with a handgun in late muzzleloader season. At the far end of the scale is Ernie Bishop who uses highly custom handguns chambered in high caliber rilfe cartridges topped with true tactical scopes working off a bipod to shoot prairie dogs in excess of a thousand yards so his scopes often are high power top end or 20x or 25x variables.  After you know how you will use the pistol you need to give us an idea what your tollerance is regarding price because if you can afford one of the Leupold variable pistol scopes they are very nice and if you only want to spend a minimum amount of money for something that will be tough and hold up I like the 2x Burris because you can still hand hold it and hunt. If it is target use at extended distance and you use a bipod or sand bag the pistol you can use a lot of magnification and a .243 with a muzzle break on it would reduce recoil enought to be able to go to some shorter eye relief rifle type scopes with high power like a 16x Sightron S3 which could get you out to 1000 yds with its 150 moa of internal adjustment.  See the difference.
