I have shot one at my FFL's he has one he teaches his concealed carry class with.  It is very nice.  I liked it.  I may end up with one for a walking through the woods gun, great for snakes and loaded with a couple 45's would do good work if a deer popped up close too.

Believe it or not, I have one. It was a NIB gift from a friend... I'd likely have never bought one for myself. A lot of folks bash anything Taurus, but it's not half bad. I've shot it with 45 Colt and it shot pretty well. With shotshell it's one step above worthless. However, with OOO buckshot it was devastating. It blew the crap out of the "targets". Ergonomically, it's good. The grip is cushy rubber and comfortable. It's kind of large and heavy (not great as a CCW weapon) but for plinking and messing around it's fun.

They just came out with those new shotshells that have the three disc type pellets and then some bb size shot with it for personal defense .410.  They looked like a massive round from the review on TV.

There are a lot of fishermen that get them for boat guns in cotton mouth areas.

I like a bond arms snake slayer better for a small fishin boat myself but yeah that would be a good use for it Lynn.

I bought one for my wife's grandfather (WW2 vet, lives in a very nice elderly person residence.)  For the 15-foot home invasion scenario, the defense loads in .410 are great.  At 25 feet, not so much,  Then again, if he misses (or rather "when") the collateral damage won't be catastrophic.

It is not a bad little purpose-built gun, I just don't feel the need to cover that purpose.

Recoil is not bad.
