New to forum, can anyone help?

Looking for a Tasco W/C base for FN Mauser. The Tasco # is 1813, would take either the 1 piece, or the 2 piece.

Nikon & Hilliver also made these. I have a photo of the Nikon 2 piece, but don't know how to put the photo on here.

Thanks,
dialwim

Is this a military action rebuilt to commercial or is it a commercial actioned rifle. Has your Mauser been previously tapped for a scope?

These are entirely different from Leupold, Redfield, or Burris. They have a stud protruding from the base, the rings sit down on the stud, with cone screws on each side for windage adjustment.
How do I post a photo of them?
I found them in England, but yesterdays exchange rate was $66.
Thanks

Here are the Pics of dialwim's  Nikon Ultralok Rifle Scope Stud. Maybe someone else can help locate. I have never seen these mounts before.  One Competor did have the brand but not a listing for his rifle.

As odd at that is I would be a bit  hesitant using that system and would opt for the Leupold base or take it to a gunsmith and work from there.

I've never seen that one before, either. It certainly looks workable if it is as well-made as it appears to be, but I'd still go with a more common system before putting a lot of money into chasing after that one.

I remembr them from back in the late 80's I believe it was.  As I remember they were a GOOD set-up.  Don't know what happened that they quit being offered.

I believe they were made by Lynx in Australia, good mounts, used a set on a win mod. 70.

300S&W,
Want to tell me who's catalog?
Just heard back from Lynx Australia, they don't export.
Have a friend in Brisbane checking for me.

Some have questioned why I want this system.
For what ever reason, the Mark X I have was drilled & tapped off center a little. My old Leupold  3X9 doesn't have enough windage adj. in it.
This system is listed as having 100" built in.

Want to thank everyone for the help.

Dick

Not Tasco , they are Nikon Ultralok ring and base. Try a search for that. I can't list the competitor because of forum rules. The Leupold or Burris standard turn in bases will give a lot of windage adjustment in the mounts also. There is a reason that these mounts did not catch on well.

In a pm dialwim mentioned that the holes are drilled off center on the rifle, and he needed a lot of adjustment. I still think that the Burris Signature Select with the 20 MOA offset would work in this case.
The Nikon Ultralok Base just does not look very strong. dialwim found somewhere that this base had 100 moa of adjustment. That would be 50 to each side. (I don't understand how by the pictures he sent) With the screws on the rear base and the 20 moa inserts the Burris should have the most offset of any base that I am aware of. Does anyone have any literature on the amount of windage that can be used in the Burris or Leupold standard base.
