Hey guys can anyone tell me if the 2-4 years old Tasco 6-24 42mm scopes have any qualities greater than the current Tasco's? I found afew on Ebay and other Fourms between $40-$100. Pictures show slightly different magnification adjustment rings and maybe some color lettering on the adjustable objectives. The yardage markers are green.

Someone know anything at all?

Here is a picture of turrets:

I've got one, and I won't be buying another one.  The thing won't hold a zero on anything but my .22LR.

Be cautious if you are getting this scope!

I got a Tasco 2.5-10X44 Target/Varmint Mil-Dot about 4 years ago for my .22 But ended up mounting it on my .308 for some testing and it worked so well that I left it on until about 3 month ago. It had some fogging problems , the turrets ,power and focus adjustments seemed to get looser over the years but it has always held zero.

I purchased a ( Tasco 6-24X44 ) Target /Varmint because the 2.5-10 worked so well and I mounted it on my 22.250 but it only held zero for a couple weeks then my groups grew bigger and bigger until it would only group about 2-@ 100.

I replaced the scope and could shoot close to 9/16 groups once again.

I try to give all the scopes I get ( Cheap or expensive ) a fair evaluation but when they fail first go round it is very hard for me to ever try another and I usually try to warren others.
