Target knobs....

make adjustments faster.

give you reference points for different yardages.

make life a hell of a lot easier .

Target knobs are for the shooter that shoots at various different ranges and need the target knob to quickly adjust to that range.

You think a scope without target knobs would of been able to be this effective?

Take a scope fitted with target knobs and zero it in at 100 yards. Now remember that marking where you are at. Then zero it in at 200, 300, 400, etc etc. Doing all this while counting the number of clicks between the different ranges. Once you have this finished return it back to the 100 yard zero. Now you know exactly the number of clicks it takes you to be dead on at various ranges. Making you far more efficient if you did not have target knobs. Some target knobs are setup differently to allow you to remove the target knob, and return it back to the "0" marking. This way you don't have to remember where your starting point is.

As for the video all I saw was some guys shooting some guns. Target knobs were orginated by bench rest shooters to allow for finer adjustment in point of impact. The clicks on a good "target" knob are 1/8" and with a 1/8" cross hair allow for even finer adjustment why I recommend the Nikon all the ones mentioned above are only 1/4". Most guns cannot take advantage of this, and the 1/4 adjustments are ok, your gun however is capable of shooting sub quarter moa. Hunter knobs are short target knobs that don't catch on things. Traditional target knobs are much larger and do not have covers and can be knocked off adjustment by regular carry, whereas hunter knobs have covers over them. Hunter knobs are a result of the complaints that the target knobs even with covers are too high. Only the Nikon gives you both at the same bargain price. Perhaps Brady would sell you one of his A-1 scopes.

Looks like he is making a quick adjustment on his target knob to me.

For this purpose target knobs are the only choice.

Most complaints accompanied with target knobs are from people that don't need them in the first place. When a hunter knob or a regular elevation adjustment would of suited just fine.
