Just bought a new Talo edition Ruger 1022, thinking about calling Chris to buy a http://swfa.com/Weaver-25-7x28-Classic-Rimfire-Rifle-Scope-P600.aspx or how about a http://swfa.com/Weaver-4x28-Classic-Rimfire-Rifle-Scope-P599.aspx any other suggestions including another brand? How about rings, any suggestions there as well?
Thanks,
Sam

I'm also looking at a Vortex 4x32 Crossfire Rimfire Rifle Scope http://swfa.com/Vortex-4x32-Crossfire-Rimfire-Rifle-Scope-P13292.aspx Is this as good a the Weaver Rimfire scope?
Thanks,
Sam

I'd go with the 3-9x Weaver RV9 myself. The adjustable parallax is handy in a rimfire scope, and moreso on a hunting optic when the scope may not be perfectly centered with your eye due to taking those shots around trees from awkward angles that may challenge eye relief. If you want to simplify it, you can always set it to 50yd parallax and leave it,but you still have the option of tuning it in.
I've never been a fan of "lightweight" scopes that compromise viewability for maybe 3 oz of weight difference. Bottomline, at 7x, the 28mm obj Weaver RV7 loses some brightness vs the 32mm RV9 at the same power.

If you really want a 2-7x, why not go with the Vortex Diamondback 2-7x35mm rimfire model? That way you get adjustable turrets (the Weavers are both coin adjust only). The Diamondback uses turrets that are very similar to Nikon's Buckmaster series.

Another option is the competitor scope (which I recently bought), but it's currently not sold by SWFA. It's basically an RV9 with turrets and adjustments identical to those on the Bushnell 4200 6-24x target scopes.

For .22 dovetail mount rings, try BKLs. For weaver rings...just about any good ring you'd use for centerfire will do (Burris Signature Zs,etc).
