You mentioned that this was an older Tasco in your other post.  Assume you have just come into possession of it or at least have never mounted it before.

Unless you have some emotional attachment to it it would probably be much easier to pick up a new scope than to try and mount this one.  If money  is an issue there are a lot of inexpensive options available if you would like to give us some requirements.

If you still want to mount it if you can supply some identification (model etc)  maybe someone here can help you out.

I will get the info tonight when I get home from work.

Actually I bought it because way back I had an old 30-06 with the sam scope and loved it! I was hoping to rekindle the magic!

They take special rings that are notched out for the ribs in the rubber.  If you don't have the rings that came with it, you will need to set the scope in 1" rings (mounted on the rifle), get the eye relief set where you want it then mark the location of the rings on the rubber with a pen, then take a razor blade and remove the rubber covering where the rings will be, then mount it like a normal scope.

I'd be surprised if they even know what scope you are talking about when you call.

Please come back and tell us how your experience with them went.

You were 100% correct- they had NO idea what I was talking about! They said to call B SQUARE!
I will cut as needed to fit unless anyone has or knows where I can get some rings to fit it??????????

What a great site btw!

Back in the late 80's, early 90's when they made that scope they came with the rings and if you lost them you could not get a replacement set from tasco.  Finding a set today that are not attached to a scope will be difficult.  If you take your time and cut the rubber with a fresh blade they actually turn out pretty nice because you can use whatever ring you want, the ones that came with it were pretty low quality.

I have one of these older ( mid 80's ) scopes . My original rings broke, so I found a set of 30mm millet rings, and added a piece of sandpaper with a sticky backing all the way around. It worked perfectly, and has never lost zero mounted on a Colt Match Target rifle since 1997.
Surface grip like you use on a boat trailer or around a pool will also work.
