Picked up a Zen Ray ED2 a few months back, along with a tripod, which works well for a spotter but looking for something that can be used on the bench by the shooter that doesn't require you to get up.  Not sure how practical this is, but visualize having the scope next to me on the bench and being able to basically raise my head or torso to look through the spotter

I've seen a number of shorter tripods but just not sure if they can handle the weight/bult of the ED2 or what the appropriate height would be.

Any recommendations?

I've used an inexpensive no name bench top tripod with a Leupold 25x Gold Ring spotter for years.  It works fine but is not the best solution.  It's always in the way, needs to be moved a lot and is easy to upset and even knock off the bench.  A better solution is something like the Sinclair rod that clamps to the edge of the bench.

Varagon Baby tripod if you want a conventional tripod will work.

Ended up going with a Promaster TTS552 with a minimum working height of 5 1/2". So far it works well and can handle the weight of the Zen Ray
