Hey Guys/Gals,  Does anybody have any experience with the T/C prohunter rifle?  I'm just curious as to how they perform,  I have seen them extensively on TV but, never in the field, what's the hype?

I've got the Advantage Camo SS version in .308. Shots Gunsmithing did a 3 lb trigger job for me. Topped it off with a Burris Signature Select 3X12-44mm Posi-Loc. It shoots several commercial loads to sub-MOA. Needless to say, I love it.

Yup--I have 2 stainless frames and several barrels. I currently have a 223, 12ga smooth bore I use occasionally for trap ( with an adjustable choke- works surprisingly well ) , 2 x 50 cal blackpowders, 12 ga slug , and 308 HB . I traded out the hinge pin and hammer springs for units from Bellm ....  http://www.bellmtcs.com/store/index.php
The 1x over hinge pin  helps eliminate any movement between the frame and barrel. These mods proved especially helpful in the consistency department for my blackpowder barrels ( both like 130gr 777 pellets and 250 gr T/C easy glide sabots --1.5moa ). One has a walnut stock which I had a limbsaver added ( needed it ) , while the other wears the prohunter camo stock. I haven't spent too much range time with the 223 , but the 308 HB seems to shoot just about whatever I have fed it well, and luckily enough it shoots 1 inch groups at 100yd.s with inexpensive Winchester 150gr Power Point plus factory loads.
I plan to grab a 45/70 Khatadhin barrel next and set it up for bear. Should be a bit of a kicker--fun stuff. Overall, I really like the Encore. It is no longer is alone in the switch barrel genre, but certainly does set the standard.

The Pro Hunter model is just an Encore with a slightly longer and fluted barrel, all the barrels and stocks etc interchange. I have several and they are a lot of fun.  Bullberry makes the best barrels http://www.bullberry.com/
