As soon as the capped version is released I'm in! I was saving for a meopta or nxs but this might be perfect for what I want.

I have one of these mounts now.  What should I be torquing the scope screws at in inch pounds?

Were you shooting it on a bench or on a sling with gear on?

Awesome.  Well, my inch pound wrench starts at 20, so It will have to be 20 then back off slightly.

Does anyone else think it's a serious issue with this scope:
Eye Relief (in): 5.0 - 3.1

For starters 5" seems too long - the scope will be too forward on an AR15 - looks ugly and moves center of mass forward. Also imagine you set everything perfectly for 1x for CQB and when you need to do a headshot at 200m at 4x, all of a sudden the sweet spot moved 2 inches and you're uncomfortable.

When I used it, I set it up at 4x and had no problem using it across the magnification range without readjusting anything.

I purchased mine at Midnight on Black Friday (the order is timestamped 11/28/2014 12:02 AM) and when I go to my account and look up the Order Status it still shows "Needs Scanning."
I know that SWFA is a Brick and Mortar retail store as well as a web store and I'm sure they've been extremely busy with the holiday sale... I'm just excited about putting this on my AR.

Anybody else order on Black Friday?  Has your item shipped?
Thanks!

I picked up one of these scopes Friday from SWFA to replace an Optisan that I use for 3 gun and hopefully a little night hunting. I have mounted it in a spare BOBRO mount that I have but have not sighted it in yet. This scope seems very easy to get behind and the changing eye relief seems to be a non-issue. The IR is night useable which is important to me and the glass allowed enough light transmision for me to clearly see our cows and horses last night at 100-150 yards.

So I was late to the party (...but not my first SS(6x and 10xM); I've been waiting on a 1-4 SS that was realistic to my wallet), but ordered today @ 1130 EST. This afternoon I get an email saying my order is backordered. Anyone else get one of these emails? I wonder what the delay will be...hope the fat guy in the red suit doesn't come empty handed as this will be my Christmas present...hopefully the wait won't be too long.

I believe the initial order is all that's came through customs yet if I understood CFII correctly.  More in process but that's hearsay

Shot it from a bench then carried in a soft case taking it in and out for about three hours of cruising looking for pigs.

My Black Friday purchased SS 1-4x shipped yesterday. Tracking data says it will be here tomorrow (Wed. Dec 3, 2014).  New Aero Precision Ultralight scope mount is sitting on top of my AR, and we are counting the seconds until the UPS man shows up.

Here is a snapshot.
Keep in mind, that the snapshot is only to show what he reticle looks like.  You absolutely cannot make any conclusions about the image quality of the scopes with these pictures.

The house that the reticle is pointing at is just over a mile away.  I was looking at a bunch of scopes on tripods off of the upper deck of my house and snapped the picture with a cellphone.

I had quite a few scopes to look at that day.

Here is a snapshot through the March 1-8x24FFP at 4x.
