Hi,

 I just found this site a few days ago and also the samplelist sight from SWFA. My question is about the warranty with refurbished scopes. I am seriously looking for a Zeiss scope and they have the one I want on that list! I went to Zeiss' website and they have a consumer alert out about purchasing scopes from unauthorized dealers. Doing so may void/limit the scope's warranty. So how do I know that SWFA is actually an authorized dealer and that Zeiss will stand behind the warranty on the refurbished scopes? I put in a call to the Zeiss office but of course they are closed till tomorrow. I will call again then but was wondering if you guys could shed some light on the subject. I don't mean to question any companies claims/statements, but this is not a "pocket change" purchase for me. I'm scrapeing to get the best I can and would hate to make a bad decision. Thanks for any help and sorry if I offend anyone with this post!

We are most definately an Authorized Zeiss dealer and these scopes have a lifetime warranty.

 

You can go to Zeiss.com and find out too.

Thanks for the info Chris. I called Zeiss' customer service today and the lady assured me that the deal was legit. She also confirmed that the warranty with the refurbished scopes where the same as those with a new scope purchase. I called and placed my order right after that. The guy went and pulled the item off the self while I was on the phone-to verify it was still there-and told me it would ship out today. He said I should have it in 3 to 4 days. Now that is what I call customer service!!!!    Now comes the "seemingly" long and painful wait. I'll try to remember to report back once I get the scope and have a chance to look it over. Thanks again for all the help!
