I am anxiously awaiting it's release.  I don't have the $$ for a Nightforce and LOVE my SS 10x42 HD and want the 1-4 on my  3-gun AR.  I can't wait until it comes out and hope it will be this year.

Ok folks, I took a ton of pics of the new reticles.  It is my understanding that these two will are the final production designs of the first two that will be offered with the scope.  A BDC type will possibly be added later, but for now these are it.  The first:

This reticle is much like the last one but with the small posts in the middle solid instead of hollow.  This makes it better to use on 1X with less of a "large empty center" and I find it makes it faster/easier to use on 4X as well as those hollow posts just didn't get the job done.

The next reticle is designed to be a bit faster at close range on 1X:

This particular prototype version has a bit of illumination overrun on the bottom post but that shouldn't be there for the production scopes.

Thanks be to Jeebus that I only have two kids as a third one would have been traded for an SS w/Circle reticle.

Now I have to decide which reticle.
Thanks for the comparison Jon. It will help alot.

I've been looking back at the pictures cause i know  deciding on a reticle will take a while but the SS really outshined other two scopes IMO the reticles seem a lot more useable under all conditions than the other two and the illumination seems to be a lot better too.

Jon, how do you feel that stacked up?  better than the others so far or on par?

I love the circle. That looks like something you could really use in a fast stressful situation. Good work. I think the illumination is Good in comparison, but they kick but in the non illuminated.  If I was choosing one to lay my life on the line with you would have my vote because batteries can fail.

Can't decide which I like better in the SS.  I will say from the pictures the NF reticle would be on the bottom of my list.  The SS looks like a great setup which ever reticle you get.
