First I want to thank everyone for the quick response to my question about the base. Know for the next question. Which one of these scopes would you get. The SWFA is cheaper with that 299.00 deal right now.The bushnell is a 100.00 more expensive. Any input would be great. Thanks.

What are your uses?  If just target shooting I would get the SS, if you plan on hunting with it I would get the 5-15 because a fixed 10x is not a great choice for hunting.

Consider the total elevation travel on the 5-15x40 (and most Bushy scopes) is overly limited.  I have the scope on a Sako .22LR and easily max it out.  It's a decent optic (like most Bushy product) but the limited travel is it's greatest detriment.

the SS6X is a great dual purpose scope, not to much for hunting and still plenty for target.

He wants to shoot to 800 yards.  6x would be iffy IMO.  10x works okay, more would be better but it works.

The SS is bomb-proof, I have not seen a Bushy outside the store. If you are going to use the reticle for ranging, the Bushy is only going to be correct at one power anyway. My vote goes to the SS.
