I have a swaro Z6i 1-6x24 with the BRT reticle
when you switch it on you see the dot and when switched off you see only the reticle
the dot seems to be incorporated in the cross hair line

now owners of the same scope with the CDi reticle is the dot the same has describe above or when switched of you see a black dot bigger than the cross hair

the question is ask because I intend to buy one

thank you

Michel

I have the Z6i 1.7-10X42 with CDi reticle.  The center dot as well as the circle around it are both a permanent part of the reticle and remain when illumination is turned off, unlike scopes like the S&B FlashDot, where the dot is projected onto the reticle and disappear when illumination is turned off.  The only difference between illumination turned on vs. off is when turned on, the circle and dot are lit up in orange, and when turned off, they're black like the rest of the reticle.  The CDi reticle is exactly the same on the 1-6X24.

The actual reticle looks exactly like the pictures of it depicted in Swaro literature, and exactly like it does here....
http://swfa.com/Swarovski-1-6x24-Z6i-30mm-Riflescope-P53301.aspx

The dot remains the same size whether illumination is on or off.  Just guessing, I'd say the diameter of the dot is about twice the width of the center crosshairs.  The dot is not contained entirely within the width of the crosshairs as it is on your BRH reticle.

I'm pretty sure there are reticle subtension dimensions on the Swarovski site.  At least, there was at one time; I haven't checked it lately.

but in the actual scope it doe not
must be for photo only

so I thought that it was the same for the circle dot CDi

The CDi (circle dot) reticle is exactly the same in the 1-6X24 as it is in the 1.7-10X42 I have.  I've seen the scope many times at various shows.
