If you could get a Swarovski Z5 5-25X52 or the Zeiss Victory HT 3-12X56 at the same price which one would you choose??
I want it for my lightweight rifle. It´s a Sako Finnlight chambered in .270 WSM. I shoot very often at dawn when the light is almost gone.

The z6 2.5-15x56 and the HT 3-12x56 would be a closer comparison.

Between the two you listed the 56mm objective would gather more light in low light situations.

I would go with the Zeiss.I think a better comparison would be the Swaro 6i vs the Zeiss HT line..............

The Zeiss HT is the better optic in regard to lens and construction quality. At dawn and dusk you will probably need to turn your magnification down to 6x - 8x  anyway, to make use of the largest possible exit pupil.

You are shooting a finlight. The only challenge is to find a scope that won't over-balance the combination by raising the centre of gravity too far above the bore line. If the 56mm Objective isn't going to over balance the rifle go that way.

People who only shoot from stands or benchs and don't do any off hand or field position shooting, never understand how much of an effect high scope mounting has on rifle handling while hunting.

I use 30mm tube euro scopes with 42mm objectives so I can mount them closer to the bore line and turn the mag down to 4x or 6x after dark (which is legal in Australia).
