Bought a Swarovski STS 80 with variable 20-60 eyepiece and not too impressed with the field of view.  Will the 20x or 30x eyepiece impress me ?  Which would you recomend?   Use would be for hunting.

Yes....either one is more impressive than the zoom eye piece.  Everything is better with the 20x when compared to the 30x and 45x.  Since you already have all the power you need in the 20-60 I would go with the 20x.  Its like looking through a totally different spotter.  You will be impressed.

Forgot to mention.  I have a pair of 15x56 slc binoculars.  Would you still recommend the 20x ? or go with the 30x ?

The 15x is close enough to the 20x that I would go with the 30x for the spotter.  The 30x has the longest eye relief of all their eye pieces at 20mm and is very easy to use.  If your 15x56 SLC binocular did not come with a tripod mount I would suggest getting one for them while your at it (makes a huge difference).

The HD option works best at closer ranges.  Its ment for bird watchers and doesn't do much good for long range stuff.  There is a slight difference, but not much you can tell.  The way I understand it, the more air you have between you and whatever you're looking at, the less of an advantage the HD spotter has.
