Hi all,

Does Swarovski make scope covers similar to butler creek?  If so, where do I find them?

Thanks,

I have a Swarovski Z6 2-12 x 50 scope

If this if for the regular z6 2-12x50 the info is below:

Butler Creek > multiflex (yellow button)

19&20 eye

39&40 obj

*not sure if will work for the z6i because of the housing design in the area after the dioptric correction adjustment.

Quake Inc. is the OEM supplier who makes the flip-open scope covers that Swarovski uses.  The only difference between the "Bushwacker" scope covers you can order directly from Quake and the ones provided in the box with Swaro scopes is the Swaro logo on those provided along with the scopes.

Thank you, but how do you buy the ones that Swarovski uses?  I cannot find a place that supplies them.

Try following the link Rifledude sent you.

The z6 1.7-10x42 and 2-12x50 don't come with scope covers or lens shades. You can call SONA for the lens shade but I'm not sure about the scope covers, I've never seen them offered on the Swarovski web site but it's worth a phone call to their 800 number to ask.

The Butler Creek ones I suggested have worked fine for me and my z6 in the rain for two seasons now.

Like I said in my post above, the "Bushwacker" covers sold on this site are the exact same ones Swarovski uses.

If you look on the Swarovski covers, you will see they say "Bushwacker" on the rubber rings that fit over the ocular & objective housings.

The only difference is that the ones they provide for Swarovski have the Swarovski logo on the caps.  The ones you buy from the link above have the "Bushwacker" logo on the caps.  Otherwise, they are identical.

Hunter,
All you need to do is measure the outside diameter of your objective and ocular bells and then select the proper diameter from the pull-down menu on the quake site.  If you don't have a pair of calipers, chances are a good gun store in your area does.  Generally, the objective bell diameter is usually 6mm larger than the diameter of the objective lens.  I've noticed this has been the case every time I've measured the objectives of my scopes.  For example, your 50mm objective is most likely 56mm on the outside.

If you can measure in inches, to convert from inches to mm, simply multiply the inch measurement X 25.4.  For example, if your objective bell measures 2.2", that would be 56mm.  The quake covers are quite flexible and each model covers a large diameter range, so you don't have to be exact to get a good fit.

Hope this helps.
Ted

I had to call SONA for something else today but while I was at it I asked about the scope caps. Mike was rep I spoke to; he said Swaro does not sell or make 'em anymore. At one time they had Bushwacker make the covers for Swaro, then Swaro started to produce the covers themselves but that did not last very long. Now they don't sell covers at all and recommened Butler Creek covers.

With that said, you at least have a couple of choices, Bushwacker via Rifledude's link or Butler Creek.

Good luck!!
