For the first time, a new Black Powder or Muzzleloading Rifle scope from Swarovski Optik, the Z3 3-10x42 ML.

Stock No. 59019

This new ML reticle was designed around todays modern spitzer shaped projectiles and firearms that are designed to safely handle the 150 gr or 3 pellet loads.  Ballistic information for many traditional 100 gr Black Powder / Pyrodex/ Triple 7 loads with the same modern projectiles will be available.

Each ML scope will come with 15 Decals:

5 of the decals are of 5 very popular 50 cal., modern design projectiles with 150 grain loadings based on a 100 yard Zero.

5 of the decals are for the same 5 bullets as above, but with a 100 grain loading based on a 50 yard zero.

5 of the decals will be blank. There are 34 loadings in the instruction manual, of 45, 50 & 54 caliber, that contain 150 gr and 100 gr loading data.  Data from the ML manual is intended to be written on the blank decals.

The 2 windage bars are calibrated for a 10 mph crosswind for these reatively slow moving black powder loads. The 2nd or bottom bar also represents the extreme limits of the effective range for deer size game of any of the loads listed. In virtually all cases the bottom bar, used in conjunction with the decal, will represent a distance that the bullet will still be generating somewhere between 900 - 1100 ft lbs of energy.

The parallax free distance for this long range MuzzLeloading reticle will be set a 100 yards.  Other technical specifications are otherwise the same for the Z3 3-10x42.
