I'm considering two different Swaro 3-9 x 36's, a "new old stock" Habicht AV Plex, and a brand new Z3, available in 4A or Plex The Habicht nets out about $40 bucks cheaper than the Z3, but I'm not concerned about price; I want best value.  I'd really like to hear what you guys think.  Is the Habicht a better piece of glass than the Z3?  Thanks.

They are about equal... I'd take the Z3 with the 4A as I'm partial to that reticle.
If we're not suppose to eat animals...how come they're made of meat?

Thanks, bugs. ... I should add that scope will go on Sako 85 Finnlight .308 for deer & hogs at ranges averaging 100 yds. One thing about the Habicht that I like is that it's about .25" shorter and a tad lighter -- but if Z3 is a clearer scope, then those small differences won't matter.

Pretty much six of one, half-dozen of the other. Good luck. BTW, I once had a Finnlight in 7mm-08. I had a Trijicon 3-9 x 40 with the green triangle mounted on it. Liked it a bunch... twas a winner. Now, my only Sako is a 75 in 30-06. It's a shooter.

I have a few of the older AV scopes, love them! Glass is clear and bright, image is great, and they are light weight.

I don't have a Z3, but you will like whichever you choose.
Freedom is something you take.
Respect is something you earn.
Equality is something you whine about not being given.
