I have noticed that with my new binoculars I have a wider field of vision with the eye cups all the way down. I do not wear glasses, but when I turn the eye cups all the way out I get a little tunnel vision. I really don't like to view them all the way down, for fear of smudging them and at 1/4-1/2 way out, it is fine but they have a tendency to move at this height.
I have to admit that I do have fairly shallow set eyes (or large bone structure).
Am I the only one?

My main concern is that I was going to get the winged eye cups, but since they are not adjustable, they may be to long?

Any suggestions/solutions or knowledge on this or the winged eye cups?

Thanks.

Re-reading my post...

Actually I didn't mean shallow set eyes, I meant  "Deep set eyes/ large bone structure".

I'm not real sure what to say, as most people without glasses prefer full extension on the eye cups.  The simplest thing I can see for you to do is to go to something like either a plumbing supply house or maybe a farm supply place.  The plumbing section should have various plumbing kits that have O-rings of various sizes and the hydraulic section will have an assortment of different O-rings.  Get a couple of the right diameter O-rings that will fit snugly around the ocular tube, just under the eye cup.  Obviously they will have to be stretched a bit to roll over the  eye cup.  This should give you enough tension to keep the eyecups from pushing too far back.  Just tinker with it a bit untill you either figure where to put the O-rings or figure how many O-rings you need under the eye cup to keep it out far enough o fit you.

I do this with a couple of binoculars with the O-rings being used under the eye cups to keep them all the way up.  Seems like it should work for you too.

I don't know what to tell you other than to see if the angled eyecups work or not.  The only angled eyecups like that I've used any is with the Vortex Razor, but those things will lock in just about anywhere you want.

I don't have an Swarovski EL but I do have the same issue with other bin's.
I have had it with the Optisan Pro OH 8x42 and my current Bynolyt Albatross SHR 8x42 ED.

For both bin's I used the in-between position for my eyes. I think this does have to do with your facial contours.
The only problem I have is that the middle position is just a little bit to far in, about two millimeters
