Hey guys just giving all you Swaro owners and potential buyers a heads up. Swarovski customer service is great.

Melissa Fontes, Mike and Bill are the easiest best folks I've had the pleasure of working and speaking with!

When swaro launched their 5-25 series I bought 1 with the ballistic turret. I liked the scope so much I got a deal on a second one with a ballistic recticle.

Let me warn you right now, the Swaro ballistic recticles are a big NO NO, at least for me. I hated mine for 2 reasons. 1. The cross hairs were to light and not designed for late evening hunting AT ALL. 2. The bars and recticle are based on some weird european formula. I'm a C math student. The Swaro recticles are not easy to calibrate like the Zeiss rapid Z. I suggest to anyone if you like using a ballistic recticle with easy math buy another scope. If you're shooting for competition its one thing but with all the patches and writing its total nonsense for hunting wild game animals. So I got to thinking I might just sell the scope. I called Swaro and asked them would they change the recticle. The told me not only would they change the recticle to a solid plex but they would convert the scope to a ballistic turret as well.

Not only that but the first scope I bought I spoke with Bill and we disigned a custom turret for my 300 short mag out to 650 yards. We did a second custom turret for my 270 wsm out to 800 yards for the second scope. All I needed to give him was the elevation, average temp, average humidity bullet coef, muzzle velocity & bullet weight. They told me it might take 4-6 weeks. When it took them less than 10 days to refit the scope and the 2 turrets it didn't cost an arm and leg either.

They were even nice enough to tell me where I could send Kahles binos and scopes to get fixed and they didn't bad mouth Kahles. Well done job by the folks at Swaro. Excellent

I have to agree that Swarovski CS is great!

I must disagree with you on one of the Swaro ballistic reticles.

The BRH is an excellent reticle, not too thick, but heavy enough to use in low light. It is also calibrated in .5 mils, so is extremely easy to dope with any reliable ballistic calculator. Like any dialing or reticle system, your drops need to be field verified, of course.

I have had and liked both the BRH and Rapid Z600 reticles. I prefer the BRH.

You're probably an A or B math guy. Remember I'm a C math guy.Big Grin

The Rapid Z is far simplier to use the BT system is easier than both IMO because it eliminates any hold over.

The Rapid Z is a holdover reticle.  It just gives you additional crosshairs to show you where to holdover.  The BRH does the same thing.  I find it more versatile, myself.

I use a Z6I 3-12x50 with BT & a 4A ret. When I use the evening set illum, I find the hold over works just fine as the BT turrets have done all the work!
