Swaro's light weight and nice, but it has a wire reticle.
How old's the Swarovski??

That's a tough one. I would probably be well served with either.
I'm a big fan, and have owned that model of Conquest, and would go that route again.

Please advise which scope you get.

Regards, ct.

I like the light weight of the Swaro, in your particular case, I'd go with the Swaro.

Cheaptrick: On the subject of wire reticles, have you heard any rumors about the Swarovski AV line suffering from broken reticles? My brother-in-law hunts whitetail in SK every winter with the same outfitter. The outfitter has stated that he has seen several cases where the reticles in the Swaro AV line has broken while hunting with him. Just wondered if there was some truth to that or just a nasty rumor...

Yeah, I have heard of some breaking too. Not just Swaro, other brands as well.
I have personally seen a few Swaro's have problems, but not a reticle break.
No slam on Swaro's. Good scopes.

Laser etched reticles just seem to be a no brainer, as far as I'm concerned. One less thing to go wrong.

I'm sure the Swaro would make a great scope. Best of luck.
