Does anybody have any input on this model? I plan to use it for spotting game in the open mountains and plains. What do you use or recommend.

Make sure you have a tripod. High magnification can get pretty shaky.

Or you could get a set of these:

Swarovski 20x65 Big Eye Spotter System

If you have the money the SLC 15x56 is the ticket. I have Docter 15x60 which I love, until I set-up next to my buddy with the Swaros. His are brighter, sharper and I like the color in his better.  And there are some available on the Samplelist. For me switching to the 15x meant I could sell my spotter and 10x binos.  But I will still carry smaller 8x around my neck as the 15x are mostly always on the tripod.

I have used the Big Eye system and It is great as long someone else pays for them and carrys them.Big smile

Bright binocular for a 15X.

Pick you up a 2X doubler to use with, and you will have a 30 power spotting scope.

I have a pair of 15x56's.  My friend brought a pair of 12x50 ultravids hunting this year and I thought they seemed much clearer.  Has anyone else compared these two side by side?
