this may be a stupid question.....ive never really taken my gun out in the summer but i took it out today and immediately my scope fogged up and the outer part of the scope became cold ....can heat/humidity cause this?    again sorry if this is a dumb question just making sure nothing wrong with my scope lol

It's just condensation caused by sudden change in temperature and humidity, from a dry air-conditioned house to hot, humid conditions outside. As long as the fogging is on the outside lens surfaces and not on the inside, there's nothing wrong with your scope, this is perfectly normal, and will happen from time to time.
