I am looking to shave some weight off my AR 6.8 and scope is one of the options I am looking to shave weight (will also be changing scope rings, forearm). I dont have any hands on with either of the swaro Z3 or the Trij Acp. The rifle currently wears a meopta meostar 7x56 illum #4 ret with red dot (~20oz). I love the scope. Its great for low light hunting for hogs early in the morning and late in the evening. However it doesnt make for a good walking around rifle. At times I like to walk the woods looking for hogs.

So what do you think between:

Swaro 3-10x42 #4 ret (not illuminated) 12.7oz
Triji Accu 3-9x40 green mil dot 12.8oz (if it came with german #4 illum reticle there would be no question)

even thought about

Triji Accu 1.25-4x24 german #4 with green dot 11.7 (love the german 4 ret.)

Thanks in advance for all the help!

I've got both the Swaro and Trij 3-9 X 40. For your application, I'd pick the Trij. It's a nifty scope.

I am also considering the 3-9X40mm Triji Accupoint with the green dot crosshair for my nightime AR predator rifle.  Is the glass on these pretty good and are they worth the money?

@ Bugsnbows: Thanks for the quick reply. I still dont know which way I am leaning. I do like the illum in my meostar so the trij looks great especially with all the great reviews it gets as a low light hunting scope. I own two conquests and would like to own a swaro for comparison and to say that i have a swaro. Especially now that the z3 prices have dropped (and its light compared to the conquest).

@Venatic: there are a lot of good reviews for the accupoint. Some say the glass is on par with conquests. You can search the forum for reviews. I am definitely considering one.

Have the Trij 1.25-4 and it works great on my AR platform.  Depends on the range you will be shooting.

I think Conquest and Meopta glass is pretty close to Trijicon glass.  Swaro glass is a little better.  I have/had all but the conquest and they are all good scopes.  The Trijicon with the ill reticle does help it stand apart from the others a bit though.  Trijicon ill is one of the best available.
