I just got my new Super Sniper from SWFA, it didn't come with an owners manual just a 4 page(in english) book telling how to mount it. I called SWFA and was told "they don't make an owners manual" This sounds strange especially since the mounting book has a line that states "see parallax corrections in your model specific booklet". Question is do they make one and does anyone know where I can get one or download one?

Scopes pretty easy to use, do you have any specific questions or just want some sort of manual? |

The only place would be SWFA. Which model do you have? And what parallax problem are you having?

If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

not having any problems, just mounted it and dialed it in yesterday. This is my fisrt scope w/parallax adj. or mill dots and had a few questions on their use. Its a straight 16X and just dont know how the ranging equates to the dots at this power at different ranges.
On the parallex do you just dial it to the different ranges or do you even have to. I started at 50yds to get on paper then moved to 100 to dial in. never moved the parallax and I didn't see any difference. Is it only for extreames like going from 300yds down to 25yds or what?

Parallax is usually a concern at shorter ranges. Although I have seen some people have the problem at longer ranges, and the short ranges are fine. If properly used, it eliminates the dual plane effect of reticle on target. Yardages marked are seldom accurate, and should not be used as definite, only as a get close measure. If you get the setting right, the reticle will not move around when you change poisition in the eye box. (The POI will not shift unless the rifle shifts)
The scope is properly tensioned for the power range, so that the reticle is as any other Mil Dot scope. 3.6 center to center from dot to dot at 100 yards.
