Sorry guys, this is probably an easy fix.
I have the SS 10x42 mounted on a very custom long range AR-15 with a one piece Armalite mount. I just got back from South Dakota from a wonderful sod poodle shoot.
Here is the question. The lines and dots are a little blurry. I assume the rear ring is the way to adjust it, but it does not turn. The ring that goes from "+" to "-".
Is there a lock on it? Should I force it?

There is some reason that it won't adjust. What that reason is is beyond me at this point. How old is the scope? If you take it inside and allow it to warm up, does that change anything? It could be stuck due to temperature, or age. If there continues to be a problem, call SWFA or Bushnell.

Thanks! Extra credit if you can identify the "sign off" line.

Just to be clear. The "+ - " ring on the rear of the scope should move freely?

It should move. Freely can be a relative term. It should adjust though.

That's the best way to handle it. Just be aware that, we aren't supposed to use the forum for customer service. They are a great group of folks, and you will be taken care of.

Point taken. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't bringing the lawnmower in without any gas in it, and complaining it won't startSmile

If it's new production, just grab the ring firmly and twist.  nothing is going to break and it will turn.  these things ain't built for use by sissies ya know Emoticons

Great point there Mike. It could just be a stiff adjustment.
Nothing to apologize for Joe. Yours was a legitimate question and not airing dirty laundry. My warning was for you to take a precautionary notice and nothing more. There have been a few people try to use this forum against its host is all.

Yep, a little force and leverage. It was just stiff.

Sorry Joe,
Were not your typical group of benchrest shooters, sometimes we'll eat, drink coffee, spilt a gut and blast coke or coffee all over keyboard and screen.  He's just making joke about your reference, You'll fit in fine with the crew we've got.   LOL

Glad to hear you got hooked up.  That's really what were here for, at least me anyway!  Learn, Help, Laugh, and cut up with good people with the same interst as I have.

P.S.
Mike, you didn't pull a John Balushi did you!!!!!!!

Answer to your extra credit: From Armageddon when William Fichtner describes the other crashed shuttle as being "off the grid" and Steve Buscemi retorts, "Off the grid?! What're you, a freakin' cyborg? What happened to them?!"

Sorry guys had to chime in on that one, one of my favorite movies.
