Hi, I just received my Super Sniper and man its great! but when I go to put on the sun shade that came with it, I find that it just falls oof and wont tighten down at all. I took a look at it to make sure the threads were ok, as far as I can tell they look fine. Any one else have this same problem?

I just received my sunshade for my SS scope and it is doing the same thing...... I am able to insert the threaded (male) side into the female side without even turning itHead Banger

Not happy at all...... The female side accepts the killflash fine, as does the scope.

Guess I will be calling SWFA in the morning........

Interesting, Good call on the purchase of a Super Sniper!Thunbs Up   As for the problem with the sunshade, that's a bummer.  I don't own a ARD but my sunshade works fine.  I'm sure Chris and the folks at SWFA will take care of you, just give them a call.

Welcome to the OT!

Yeah, I have fallen in love with my SS...... thanks to this forum, I was able to set up the focus (on the crosshairs) correctly, then better understand parrallax.

the male end of the shade must have been cut and threaded wrong...... the ARD is perfect.... as it fits in the female end of the shade and the scope, however the shades male end just slides right in with no effort at all.....

Well, SWFA made it right.

They sent out a new sunshade, which was the same as the original one I received (wrong thread size), however; had an adapter to, "step up" the threads to the proper size..... which, works for me.

Now, I wonder if I could get one of those adapters for the original shade, which, they did not want back. to add to the new one to make it longer?

I only have one shade and one kill flash and they seem to fit fine.

My sunshade from about 6 months ago wouldn't work either. We couldn't get anything to work. I don't  need one anyhow.
