I was just wondering. Would a super sniper work well with a rimfire. This would be a 22lr. Does it have enough parralax for it to be used from 10yards to 100yards?

What I want in my scope is to learn how to use the knobs. So I can turn in the elevation all let it rip.

I want a scope with reliable turns, and from what I have read the Super Sniper does. Or do you recomend any other scopes with real reliable knobs?

The parallax goes from 10M to infinity. Would be a lot of scope for a rimfire. Remember the lowest power available will be 10X. You may want to look into another scope that has a lower power with some target knobs.

This one wouldn't be bad:

Leupold 3-9x40 Mark 4 PR....... 399.95

Thanks for the reply.

Firstly, it would only sit on my rimfire so I can learn how to lob the shots to the target. From what I have read the SS scope would withstand thousands of cliks. Am I right on this?

How many moa does the Leupold have? If the SS has a 120, the leupod should not have any less.

I am only using the rimfire for practice, and the SS could double for my next rifle when ever I might deside to buy one. Besides, the SS looks the busniss. Could intimidate crows to death with it  . Or throw it at them!

Never heard of one being worn out due to over clicking of the adjustments. It would take a lot more than a few thousand clicks to wear them out. Especially considering one revolution of the elevation will have over 600 clicks.

The Leupold is a 1" tube, so it will have less moa compared to the 30mm SS. The total moa for the Leupold is 56. The SS has a total of 152 moa of elevation.

Only because the SS will be used for your next rifle would it be wise to invest in it. You would be over scoping your .22 if you kept the SS on it. The Leupold doesn't have a parallax adjustment so it may not be a wise choice either. Since you do have another rifle the SS could go on I say go ahead and get it. Maybe it will be perfect for you on the .22. If not you can always put it on the other rifle.

I've got a CZ 452 American on order and thought if I liked it a Varmint model might be next. That way I could mount my Unertl on it. Than I thought about the SS. One is about as bulky as the other and have 10X or more. It would be better to sell the Unertl, would be money ahead, and could put on first 452.  Unertl's are hard to focus too.

I am waiting so see how much the SS Variable will cost. I usually have a 4-12x on rimfires. Need the lower powers for squirrel hunting at times.

If I put the SS on it would be for occassional 200 yard shooting that simulates largebore @ 1000 yards.
