I was looking at the "Reticle Key" in the owner's manual that came with my 10X Super Sniper scope and it appears to have a discrepancy. They list the distance dot to dot (centers) as 1 mil which equals 3.44 MOA, seems correct. The problem I find is they list the width of a single dot as 0.18 mil = 0.75 MOA. Last time I checked 0.18 x 3.44 = 0.6192 MOA not 0.75MOA. So this makes me wonder is the dot size actually correct and thus one dot would actually approximate 0.6192 MOA or is the dot size stated incorrectly in the manual and should be a 0.22 mil dot?

Anyone have the answer? Am I looking at this correctly?

Well, that is a great post for reference on mil-dots and how to use them but doesn't really answer the question of what is the true size of the dots used in the Super Sniper reticle.  If you refer to the owner's manual and you do the math.....it doesn't work.  Or if it does work could someone show me how a 0.18 mil dot size can equal 0.75 moa if at the same time 1 mil = 3.44 moa?  I just don't get it.

Regards-

There has been some wrong literature published in the past from the tasco era that incorrectly described the measurements of all four SS scopes.

All four models use a true mil-dot reticle, meaning the spacing is one mil from center and all four models use a .20 round dot as Mike mentioned.
