I have my SS mounted on a 20 MOA base for long range shooting with a .308 Tikka T-3 Varmint.

I sighted in at 100 yards and still have a lot of clicks left in either direction.

Does the SS have the ability to let me loosen the target turret, and tighten it back so that all my remaining clicks for elevation will be in one direction?

I think I explained that correctly - basically, all my adjustments now need to be for bullet drop from 100 yards out to over 1000 yards.  So there is no need to adjust in both directions, and I want to get the most adjustment for bullet drop in the other direction that I can get.

A small alen wrench should have come with the scope.  Each turret has three screws near the top of the turrets.  You can't do what your talking about, and you'll see why when you take the turrets off.  What you can do is once you have the screws out, the turrets will turn without adding clicks while you slip the turrets back to the zero marking on the turrets.  Or just take the turrets off and then slide them back on and line everything up that way.

Hmm - so does this mean that I am stuck with only a small amount of elevation travel once I get it sighted in at 100 yards?  It looks like I'm about center to how much I can adjust up and down for elevation, but I'm only at 100 yards right now.  And this is with a 20 MOA base - damn.  Now I'm concerned about having enough to get me up to 1000 yards.

You should have more than enough elevation to get out to 1000 yards.  I'd crank the elevation turret all the way up and see how much you actually have.  Be sure to count though so you can get back to your zero.  I doubt your half way up on the total amount of elevation.

The SS has a total of 151 moa not counting the 20 moa base. You shouldn't have a problem with lack of moa.
