Hey i just wanted to let you all know ,im am trying out a Super Sniper16x42 scope on my Ruger1022. I have added a new Green Mountain20"tappered sporter  barrel to it and  is much more of a tack driver now .The Tasco4x was bit low on magnification for me but it did a good job while on the gun and was bright and clear at all times. I had an ATN8-24x72 on order but i cancelled that after doing a check on here.I felt the SS16x would be powerful and still have good brightness so thats whats going on the 1022.I cant wait to get it all set up.I have weaver base and need some rings .Any suggestions are very welcome..Thanks for the help.

I nixed the Burris rings and ended up ordering a set of TSR rings from Tactical Precision Systems . They are all steel and look pretty strong to.

Very good Fla shooter. I hope they work great for ya .I was looking at the burris but the ad said for speed dot only .I could have checked into that but just kept looking and found the  TSRs.This week i added a  new Hornet trigger group ....Trigger is sweet now also the WK shock buffer. i did manage to brake the barrel ring while spreading the thing apart but i have a new one on the way.  That was my fault.I thought it was steel not  cast .I ran 200 rounds through the barrel and just finished with a treatment of Molyfusion.

Hi 17Remfan,Glad you got a setup that works good.Just so you know,The burris xtreme Tac.rings say,for speed dot only,Thats one ring. The xtreme tac.Two ring sets are the same rings, and there for rifle scopes, burris says you can mount the most heavy scopes on any rifle, up  to 50 cal.         &n bsp;    There is nothing like a smooth trigger.I use the supermatch 2 stage on my bushmaster. One of those drop in triggers, installed in 5 min.I'm very happy with it.

17Remfan.What A smart move that was.You put a stop on that ATN,Good move.And then buying a SuperSniper.ATN is junk.It would make a good papper weight.Also good for busting the heavy steel rings.To big also.SupperSniper is great a scope.The  ATN 8-24-72 wt.1.56kg 428mm.

Hello again ba_50.My Super sniper scope 16x has been working just fine and it is still being used  on my Ruger 10/22. with the strong steel rings you recommended, the gun never goes out of adjustment. So far, I have been shooting the gun at 25 and 50yards.Id say mostly at 50.This year I will get a digital caliper so that I can do some measuring of groups for a change. My Colt AR-15 will get more use this year as well. Ill be trying for under 1/2" @ 100 yards and maybe 200 ,if they ever open it up..I have a tasco 40x mounted on that which works fine.Anyway, the Super Sniper is a keeper for sure.Good luck with your shooting this year.Oh ,do you have any HM2 cal rifles? Id like to get one but have plenty of others to use.

No I don't have a .17, just a .22 LR CZ452 American. If they don't come out with the variable pretty soon, the 10 or 16 SS sounds good.

I suspect that even with the offset Burris rings, my Leupold won't get it out to 300 yards and thats where the tactical scope would come in.

Thanks.
