I can't believe that that is a solution.  I hope I won't need glue on the one I just ordered.

Not knowing the history behind the scope, that is the only logical fix you can do without having to send it somewhere for service, and being without a scope until it is returned.  If the gentleman had purchased one of our latest models, then we do have a problem, and need to correct it right away, however if it is an old Tasco era model, anything is possible.  Excuse me for jumping on here for a little humor, and you can be rest assured we take these Super Sniper scopes very seriously, so please use yours in confidence.

The super glue seems to have done the job, and for you out there looking to get a super sniper it's a great choice. I really
like mine. As for the marker ring coming loose, It must not happen much because I have never posted on a forum for years,
I have always found that someone else had asked the question I needed answered leading me to believe this is very rare
and like I said, very minor. Bushnell said they would replace it. I just didn't want to be without it this week. Guys, anything
can break. It's how the company deals with it that makes a good product , and swfa service has been great.

OK you lost me.  "Turret marker ring" ???  My SS20X  has hex screws that if loosened allow the turret to be re-set to zero the scope but the marker is a little white line on the metal turret. You lost me on what came loose - are you refering to the part with the single white line.  The scope I have is extremely tough and I haven't had problems with it.

All I can say is if super glue worked - use what works. I have mil duck taped the scope caps on the ends of mine so I dont loose them in the brush.

Hello,

I have to ask you, just where and how do you super glue this turret ? Do I glue it along the outside of the turret along the bottom of the turret where the turret and scope body intersect and just wipe the excess glue off the scope tube body ? or do I remove the turret some how and glue it in the inside some how ? Can pictures be sent or posted to show me before I screw my new scope up. I like these Super sniper scopes very much, but I have only shot approx. 50 rounds thru mine before it loosened up on me.Also I am confused from email from SWFA, it said Bushnell would glady fix this problem, yet my manual and my understanding was that Tasco was the manufacturer, what is the connection here ?

Thanks For Any Info,

Confused In Indiana

Dear Confused in Indiana

Old literature came with the rights to produce the scope bought by SWFA from Tasco. Quality control has improved  since rights owned by SWFA.

Arrangement for service from Bushnell is billed to SWFA for warranty service. Send it to Bushnell or if it is a new scope that has not suffered abuse call SWFA and ask if it can be returned and exchanged. Note they may not have one in stock as they sell them as fast as they can make them. Or call Bushnell and ask about warranty service and shipping instructions.   Forget that anything says Tasco.  Good Luck I'm sure you will ultimately enjoy the scope sorry to hear that you are having some trouble.

The original poster that used glue is referring to something completely different than you.  He was talking about about the metal ring with horizontal reference lines on it.  This band is glued around the turret housing in manufacturing and has no mechanical value it is solely to let you know what revolution you are on with your knob.

DO NOT GLUE YOUR TURRET, KNOB, GEARS, INSIDE OF SCOPE, ETC.

Sound like to me your knobs are just getting lapped or broken in.  At firs they can be really tight because the grease has not spread out and the splines are still sharp.  Rotating the turrets back and forth over and over is recommended for any tactical scope to lap the splines and spread out the grease evenly.
