Since my fourteen year old son got his Swarovski for Christmas, he has graciously let dear old dad have the Leupold VXIII.( Thanks again for the input on the selection of this scope. He killed two deer at dark, 210 yards.,first time out with new scope and last hunt of the year. I couldn't have written a script any better.) I intend to sell a Bushnell 3200 and the Leupold. I am looking for any input on a step up from the Leupold without going broke, which I already am. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

you can get a good monarch, elite 4200, OR meostar by meopta.
to get closest to the Swaros, i would go meostar - 3x10x50 for under 600 -
amazing optics for the money. I put them in-line w/ swaros and nicer zeiss.
my 2 cents. let us know what you decide.

I'd check SWFA's sample list. If you sell the VX on ebay you should clear $300 plus you budget will get you something very nice.

Since you mentioned Meostar, I'll go ahead and say that I was kind of leaning that way, but I didn't want to slant this toward a debate on that particular scope. I am concerned about the 3 inch eye relief though. Anyway, still wide open to all suggestions. Thanks.

SECOND HAND is the way to go if you want to buy quality on a budget.
Non illuminated better german quality with german no1 reticle.
High quality for decent money is fixed powers 6x42, 8x56 that can be had for around 300-600 USD. Some more money you can have 1,5-6x42 or 2,5-10x52 or x56. Regards Technika |

The rifle is a Remington model seven in 7mm-08. Technika, are you speaking in general or about a specific name scope? |
