Does anyone have the subtension info for the hashmarks on the windage reticle line as well as the main yardage drop marks on the vertical reticle line?  I think the Conquests are all 2nd focal plane so maybe on max power on their 4.5-14 scope?

I am mainly trying to get an idea if I can use the windage hashmarks for basic windage hold off.  Assuming they are close enough, around 2 MOA or so, this should work fine for dialing in the range with the turrets and using the hashmarks for windage hold.

Thanks in advance.

Scot

the windage holdoff are in mph not moa, but as the 1000 is set for particular loads its easy to compute. using 175 smk at 2650 a 5 mph (the first mark) is .6 moa, at 100 yds
200 yds first mark is 1.2moa
300 yds-1.8moa
400 yds- 2.5 moa
500 yds 3.2 moa
600 yds 3.9 moa, notice the constant increase is kept that way because the actual distance increases.
with the center of the reticle (500 yd) zeroed at 100 yds for dial in the yardages are
bar 6 279
bar 7 420
8- 558
9-693
10-828

Hi Dale,

I don't think I was very clear on what I was asking.  The Rapid 1000 is so busy that my question can be constued in a few different ways.  My bad!

I am wanting the subtention meausurements for the hashmarks that are on the main windage reticle, not the BDC drop retilce lines.  There are little hashmarks that are the same distance apart on the main windage reticle. This is mostly what I am after. I thought I had read that the very outside hashmarks were 2moa or maybe 2 inches at 100 yards, can't remember for sure.  It looks like the ones on the inner windage reticle line are the same distance as the outside marks.

Also, I was also interested in how much drop in MOA each BDC line is, ie 6,7,8,9,1.

am assuming you are talking about the 500 yd or center reticle. if zeroed with this reticle the hold off is the same, it only changes when the center reticle is zeroed at 100yds. if you use a 500 yd zero.
100 yd hold is 11.2 moa up
200 yd is 9.45
300 yd is 6.67
400 yd is 3.6
500 is 0
600 4.05
700 8.61
800 13.75
900 19.54
1000 26.07

Thanks for the info.  The area highlighted in red is the windage hashmarks I am talking about.  What are the subtension measurements from one hashmark to the next?

Thanks again!

According to the information I have and the tutorial on the Zeiss site it is 2" apart as a part of the ranging function.

the far outside marks are 2 moa for ranging as 3 tens posted. the holdoff hash marks at any vertical hold off are given in wind speed mph hold off, the first mark is for 5 mph and the second 10 mph. the second marker is just a bit longer than the end of the 400 yd marker to make up for the extra 100 yds. Thus the conversion would depend on the ballistics of the load you are using, a 175 at 2650 will show about 3 moa drift with a 5 mph side wind. If you reset the reticle to zero with the center the holdoff change to the 100 yd value for the same bullet. about 1 moa for 200 yds, etc.
